UMR Communications helps your
children and youth ministries
ENGAGE. effectively.
To engage potential church members, Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla., took advantage of UMR Communications' iGen Digital Printing. As a downtown congregation, Boston Avenue wanted to engage children and youth in the surrounding area and maintain personal connections among members in the large, geographically diverse congregation. In previous years, the church mailed packets of flyers about summer activities at the church to each household in the area with a child between kindergarten and 12th grade. One year, the packet contained 65 sheets of paper, most of them black-and-white and visually uninteresting. Last year, Boston Avenue enlisted UMR to produce personalized catalogs. Each catalog arrived at each individual student's home, labeled with his or her name and containing only information about programs or events of interest to the student, based on the student's grade level. Instead of a 65-page, “generic” mass mailing, the church delivered personalized, eight-page catalogs in vibrant color and beautifully designed. The result: participation in Boston Avenue's ministries that summer increased more than 40 percent.

Taking advantage of UMR's iGen Digital printing, Boston Avenue UMC in Tulsa sent personalized catalogs describing the church's summer activities to children and youth in the community.
